OUR MISSION

Clean Energy Starts With Curiosity

Energize Youth is a free, hands-on educational program created to help young students understand where energy comes from, why sustainable energy matters, and how engineering can contribute to a cleaner future. Participants explore real energy-generation concepts through demonstrations, challenges, and interactive activities.

Hands-On Learning

Students learn by testing, observing, building, and experimenting.

Real Engineering Concepts

Scientific ideas become engaging, age-appropriate experiences.

Future-Focused Education

Students explore how innovation and sustainability work together.

THE FOUNDER

Built by a Student Engineer

Vismay Patel · Founder, Energize Youth

Vismay is a rising senior at John P. Stevens High School who is passionate about sustainable energy and the role engineering can play in creating a cleaner future. He created Energize Youth to make clean energy understandable, accessible, and exciting for younger students.

FROM WORKSHOP TO PROTOTYPE

Connecting Education With Engineering

Vismay is also developing a biomechanical energy-generating tile designed to turn energy from footsteps into usable electricity. The prototype explores the same pressure, contact, and motion concepts taught through Energize Youth.

The long-term goal is to make clean-energy generation more practical, scalable, and cost-effective.

THE WORKSHOPS

Three Ways to Discover Energy

Organizations can request one workshop or host the complete three-part Energize Youth series.

WORKSHOP 01

Power From Pressure

Piezoelectricity

Students learn why clean energy is important, then explore how certain materials generate electricity when pressed, bent, or vibrated. An interactive activity shows firsthand how force can become electricity.

HANDS-ON ACTIVITYExplore how physical force can become electrical energy.
